The new Platform 3 at Edinburgh Waverley uses what once was a carriage siding, predominantly used for the stabling of the third North Berwick unit (used during the peaks). Now used for terminating services as illustrated by 158724 with a Newcraighall service. An additional platform has also been built at Haymarket - known as Platform '0' which will be used for services which are turned back short due to the Waverley engineering works. (Jan-'07) |
