A new service run by Midland Mainline to Cardiff!? Unfortunately not...170102 is now in the 'careful' hands of Central. |
In order to cope with existing traffic levels during the ongoing Edinburgh engineering works, a number of new platforms had to be constructed. Known as the 'Balmoral' platform - named because of its proximity to the Balmoral Hotel - was constructed on what was a through carriage siding. Split in two by a crossover, each 'side' is capable of taking a 5-car Voyager. 170393 is shown here. |
